Turning up at Le Cul Nuls early in the morning this is the sight you want to see, few local crew in tide was at the mid point and push. Managed to get out and get a few but things can be deceptive, especially shots of conditions.

Maybe the second shot gives more of an incite to conditions. Managed to throw down a few tracks but some of the waves i picked off either shutdown or i took the lip on the head. After a short tracking session and sorting out some of the poor tracks ended up with a hand full of runners.

The initial take off was returning the max speed of 9.3 m/s but out on the face average speed dropped to 6.0 m/s looking at the first shot you could think the surf was off the hook the second shot gives a greater incite and then looking at some of the speeds returned it was pretty average, well my performance was pretty average. The peel angle is low because i was pulling straight once the sections shut down, because Hossegor returns only a short ride this pulling straight skews the data.

The length of the ride in Hossegor is definitely shorter that some of the local spots round where I live, but the wave form is 10x better in Hossegor than round the South Coast of Devon.

The sight everyone wants to see as they walk over the top of the sand dunes at Vieux-Boucau. Deceptive though looks good but not many riders getting much. Approaching high tide the rides on the inside were short, really short one turn waves if you were lucky managed to get onto a few that didn't close out. Managed to throw a few tracks down and after sorting the wheat for the chaff not really much to get excited about. Being at sea for quite long periods of time my ability is defiantly slipping, i guess thats why i developed this application was to track and record sessions but hard pill to swallow when you see it recording your ability decreasing. Must try harder! same as all my school reports said. The average peel angle turned out to be 52 degrees which is challenging just need to get my head around short steep punchy waves. Been there before and managed to take a few apart so we'll see what the next sessions bring.

Finally got back in the water got a few waves out at chally over the past few days, pretty average got there the wrong time I think couple of the boys hooked into a couple of runners but aways seamed to be in he wrong place short waves one turn and then close out. Average peel angle was 56 Degrees and I only clocked up an average of 68% potential speed for the wave height.

After what feel like a lifetime on the seven seas on survey vessels i'm back on land and looking forward to getting a few waves. The Wavetracks project has been neglected over the past few months due to a proper job getting in the way. I do miss not working in the surfing industry cause i surf much less than i did but looking to get a few sessions posted over the next few weeks.
